Privacy Policy – Jadetide: Mahjong Journey
Last updated: 18 October 2026 (version 1.0.0)
- No account and no sign-in. Falcon Peak Labs does not receive or store personal data about you.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device data to show and measure them (details below). Where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK and Switzerland) you are asked for consent before any ad is requested.
- There are no in-app purchases; the game never asks for payment.
- Your boards, pearls, records, streak, treasures and settings stay on your own device.
Who we are
Jadetide: Mahjong Journey (the "game") is a mahjong solitaire puzzle game for Android made by Falcon Peak Labs ("we", "us"). You match tiles in the Journey, the Daily Tide and Zen. This policy explains what happens to information while you play.
Information we collect
None. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, files, messages or location, and the game sends us nothing about you or about how you play.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Ads come from Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited: a small banner at the bottom of the screen while you play a board (in its own strip below the tool bar), an occasional full-screen ad after a board is finished, and optional rewarded videos you choose to watch (more hints, shuffles or undos, or double coins on a result). When no ad is available at such a moment, the game may instead show one of our own games, which you can close at once. To deliver, limit and measure these ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the game collects and sends to Google:
- Device identifiers such as the Advertising ID (and, where available, the app set ID);
- Approximate location, derived from your IP address;
- Ad interactions, such as which ads were shown or tapped;
- Diagnostics, such as ad loading performance and crash reports from the ad SDK.
Google uses this information to serve and measure ads, to prevent fraud and, with your permission, to personalise ads. How Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID and turn off ad personalisation in your phone's Settings (Google > Ads, or Privacy > Ads).
Your consent
Where consent is required (such as the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), Google's consent form appears on first launch, before any ad is requested. You can change your answer at any time in the game under Settings > Privacy choices. If you decline, non-personalised ads may still be shown where the law allows.
No purchases
There are no in-app purchases and no payment or billing features. Coins are earned by playing, or by choosing to watch a rewarded video for double coins. Nothing is ever given for installing or opening another app.
Data saved on your device
So you can carry on where you stopped, the game stores on your device only:
- the boards you have cleared, their pearls and best times, and a board you left unfinished;
- your Daily Tide streak and calendar, and your totals (boards cleared, pairs matched, best times, Zen runs, time played);
- your coins, the treasures and tile sets you have unlocked and use, which of our games was last suggested, and when the game last asked you to rate it;
- your settings (sound, music, vibration, graphics, free-tile highlight, large tiles, timer, reduced motion, tutorial seen).
This data never leaves your device. It is removed when you uninstall the game or clear its app data. If Android's device backup is switched on, that backup may include it; it is then handled by Google under your Google account settings, not by us.
Permissions
The game uses the internet connection (to load ads, and to download the list of our other games shown under "More Games" - a plain file that sends no personal data), the Advertising ID permission (for ads) and vibration (optional haptic feedback, which you can switch off in Settings). Every mode plays offline; ads are simply not shown then.
More Games and our other games
The "More Games" page lists our other games, and now and then a small card on the results screen suggests one of them. To show "Open" for a game you already have, and not to suggest it again, the game asks Android whether those games of ours are installed. That answer stays on your device. Tapping a game opens its Google Play page (the link tells Google Play that it came from Jadetide, so we can see how many players found a game this way - no personal data) or the game itself. Nothing opens unless you tap it.
Children
The game is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly allow ads to collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
